PDF Verse ("the app", "we", "us") is an offline-first PDF productivity application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how your privacy is protected. By using PDF Verse you agree to the practices described below.
1. Our Core Principle: On-Device Processing
PDF Verse processes all of your files locally on your device. Tasks such as compressing, merging, splitting, scanning, converting, watermarking, and editing PDFs are performed entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, collect, sell, or share your documents or their contents with us or any third party.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect personal data. Specifically, we do not collect:
- The documents, images, or files you open or create.
- Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials.
- Precise location data.
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking data.
3. Files and Local Storage
Files you create or import are stored in the app's storage on your device. They remain under your control and are never sent off your device by the app. You can delete them at any time from the Documents screen, or by uninstalling the app.
4. Device Permissions
The app may request the following permissions only to provide the features you choose to use:
- Camera — used solely to scan documents when you use the scan feature. Captured images are processed on your device.
- Storage / Files — used solely to read the files you select and to save the output you generate.
Permissions are requested only when needed, and you may decline or revoke them in your device settings at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
PDF Verse works offline and does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. When you choose to share a file using your device's share sheet, that action is handled by the app or service you select, which is governed by its own privacy policy.
6. Children's Privacy
PDF Verse does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal data, it is safe for use by all ages within the app's intended purpose.
7. Data Security
Since your files never leave your device through the app, the primary safeguard for your data is your device's own security. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode or biometric lock.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
